Om

Noe is the true definition of a young gun. He is especially comfortable when ripping bowls and pools, but can also be found in the streets. A super well-rounded rider who definitely has a bright future in front of him.

"Skateboarding is endless: you can learn and invent new tricks all the time! I like that there are no rules, each bowl is different and you can find and invent new lines every time, it really is endless."

Team SkatePro Q&A

Q: Starting from the beginning: what got you into skateboarding?
A: It all started in 2016. My father had taken me to see the solar eclipse, and right next to us there was the Prado bowl, one of the most loved skateparks in Marseille. I wanted to try, and a boy lent me his board. I loved it! My parents gave me a board for my birthday, and since then I would go to the skatepark every day after school.

Q: What do you like the most about being a SkatePro team rider?
A: First of all, being part of a team is always a good thing. Plus, SkatePro helps me with the material, and I am so thankful for this! With training and competitions, I use a lot of skateboards, wheels, and trucks. It’s definitely helpful to have lots of fresh gear!

Q: How is the skating scene in Marseille, and why is Bowl du Prado your favorite spot?
A: The atmosphere in Marseille is crazy, it's the French capital of bowl skating, and there are great skateboarders. The Prado bowl is my favorite bowl because it's where I learned to skate, it's like my home. The lines are great, and the curves are perfect for learning new tricks. And above all, I am sure to find friends there at any time. You are always motivated to progress because the level is crazy!

Q: You conquered 1st place at the Championnat de France Skateboard Bowl 2022 (congratulations!!): how did you feel during this competition?
A: Thanks! The atmosphere was great, with lots of skaters from all over France and lots of people, it was a real skateboarding crowd. In my first run, I was a bit tense, but it helped me stay focused on my skating. In these situations, you know that if you miss, you’re out. And then the audience is watching you, there is music, the announcer…all of that adds a bit more pressure. A great sophrologist helps me manage stress, it really makes the difference. My second run allowed me to win the title. On the third run, I could feel more relaxed on my skateboard. It felt great.

Q: What would you recommend to young riders wanting to become pro skaters? And what do you think is the best way for parents to encourage them?
A: My advice to become a pro is: DON’T TRY TO BECOME ONE! Just skate and have fun, train, and again - have fun! If it\'s meant to happen, then it will happen. To help their children, parents must be present, take us to the skatepark often, and spend time there with us when we are young. But above all, they must not pressure us, that\'s definitely not good. Skateboarding is fun, not a duty. My dad always tells me: “Have fun and do what you love”... That\'s the most important thing.

(Disclaimer: usually, we have a little desert island list at this point, but…as you can imagine, Noe’s honest perspective on this is: “On a desert island, I’d just take a skateboard and tools to build a ramp, otherwise I will go crazy!!”)
